There’s a lot happening behind the scenes in MYOB lately — and it’s all aimed at one thing: making your everyday accounting simpler and faster.
We’ve rolled out some big improvements across core workflows like bank transaction matching, document capture, payroll and the Command Centre — all with one goal in mind: taking more admin off your plate.
Whether you’re a small business owner squeezing in the books after hours, or an accountant juggling dozens of clients, these changes are designed to lighten the load and keep things moving behind the scenes. Less manual work. More clarity, control and confidence.
Here’s what’s new:
Balancing your books just got a major upgrade. We’ve introduced AI smart-matching to speed up your bank transaction matching. The new model learns from your behaviour — it studies how you match transactions and uses that information to determine the matches it suggests to you. The more you use, the smarter it gets.

✅ No more chasing mystery transactions or second-guessing which match is right
Importantly, it’s built with control in mind. Any existing transaction matching rules continue to apply, and any AI matches require your one click confirmation. You’re still in charge of every approval, and guiding the AI it doesn’t go rogue, it sticks to what it’s learned and keeps getting sharper over time.
AccountRight users might have noticed your Command Centre got a refresh. It’s more than just a visual change — it’s about helping you get to what matters, faster.
The new layout brings key tasks and insights front and centre with the new action tiles, making it easier to take action without the clicks and clutter. Think smoother navigation, smarter organisation, and a cleaner experience overall.
We’re not done yet — this redesign lays the foundation for future improvements, and your feedback will help shape what comes next.
We’ve enhanced our OCR (optical character recognition) capabilities to capture more from your scanned or uploaded documents. Whether it’s receipts, invoices or bills, the system now picks up more detail – automatically populating transaction data to save time and reduce errors.

Just snap, upload and review — it’s a small change that adds up to big time savings, especially when you’re dealing with high volumes of paperwork.
Payroll’s smoother when you’re not digging through folders. You can now store and access employee records, contracts and certifications directly within your software — safe, secure and right where you need them.
