What we released in June

Payroll (Australia only)

Payday Super made easy
MYOB Pay Super makes it easy for you to stay compliant, with everything you need for Payday Super. You can now set up Pay Super in minutes so you can start paying super funds right away. Once you're set up, you can manage your super settings in one place – including bank details, authorised users and payment limits – without messy forms or contacting support.

Set up and manage your super payments via the settings menu (⚙️) > Payroll settings > Superannuation payments.

Example super settings page

Reduced manual super admin with stapled fund lookups
You can now authorise Flare to perform stapled super fund lookups during employee self-onboarding. This one-time setup helps reduce manual super admin and follow-up, and makes it easier to stay compliant when employees choose their super fund.

Smart Reconciliation

Available for selected MYOB Business Pro and AccountRight browser (Plus and Premier) files

We're continuing to improve automatching and suggestions so there's less to sort through at reconciliation time. You'll see these improvements when you're working on the Bank transactions page:

  • Easier to see withdrawals and deposits
You can now split the Amount column into separate Withdrawal and Deposit columns.

Show separate withdrawal and deposit columns
  • Quick access to attachments
A new paperclip icon shows the number of attachments for each bank transaction and lets you quickly add attachments.

  • Quickly change tax codes
You can now change the tax code on a matched transaction without needing to expand the transaction.

  • Usability improvements

    • Matched transactions are now shaded grey to distinguish them from white unmatched ones.

    • A help tip now provides guidance on handling unmatched transactions.

Automatching

  • More control over automatching

    • You can now control automatching to MYOB records with a new option. This means that all MYOB Business files can now switch off automatching to MYOB records, including transfer monies, so that they show only as suggestions.

Access your automatching settings on the Bank rules pages.

    • Also, if Smart Reconciliation is available to you, when you switch from "classic banking" you're prompted to review your automatching settings.

Payment schedules now available (Australia only)

One invoice, from first payment to final balance
Payment Schedules is an online payments feature that lets businesses take an invoice deposit or split the total into instalments – all on one invoice. No more sending multiple invoices for jobs requiring more than one payment.

AI BAS (Australia only)

Available for selected MYOB Business Lite and Pro files

AI BAS is now available to all non-employing businesses. With this release, AI BAS works behind the scenes to help prepare your BAS progressively throughout the quarter. When quarter-end arrives, you can just review, edit if needed and approve your BAS with more confidence.

With AI BAS, each time you sign in to MYOB you'll see a new version of the dashboard. It's updated continuously as your books change, and it's your starting point for keeping on top of BAS-related tasks. It highlights what needs attention and what’s been taken care of across all your workflows.

Business insurance (Australia only)

We're rolling out the new Insurance hub on the Banking menu for selected businesses to compare insurance quotes from multiple insurers. If you purchase a policy, you can come back to the Insurance hub to see the details.

Usability improvements

Easier filtering on the Users page
Use the new filtering options on the Users page to display specific users, like those whose invitation has been cancelled or who've been made inactive.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed in issue on the Bank transactions page that was reverting the Withdrawal and Deposit columns back to a single Amount column when clicking Reset on the filter bar.

  • We fixed an issue that could cause a “Something went wrong” error on the Bank transactions page if you had marked a category as inactive in your chart of accounts.

Each month, we release improvements, new features, and bug fixes. If your company file is online, you can also use AccountRight in a web browser – take a look at what's new in the browser.

AccountRight 2026.5.1.28 - released 15 July

This patch addresses an issue caused by a session ending unexpectedly. Now if this issue occurs, you're given the option to sign back in to keep working instead of losing unsaved changes.

Example message to sign back in

Instead of the usual July AccountRight release, we’ll be rolling out two scheduled releases in August as we complete some important work behind the scenes.

What's new in AccountRight version 2026.6 - available 3 August*

Working offline end of support

If you previously used the MSI installer to deploy AccountRight in an IT-managed environment, from 3 August the MSI installer becomes offline only and will no longer support online company files. If you need to access online company files, use the latest AccountRight PC Edition instead. More about deploying AccountRight in an IT-managed environment

Single sign-on improvements

Clearer messaging when you switch users
We've made the message clearer when you switch to another user sign-in, so you’re warned that unsaved changes will be lost before switching users.

Online payments how-to-pay details

More control over payment details on PDF invoices
If you've enabled online payments, there's a new setting in the Preferences window > Sales tab to enable the how to pay info to be printed on a last page on PDF invoices. Also, if you're using payment schedules (Australia only), there's an additional preference to enable payment schedule info to appear on invoice PDFs.

MYOB Assist mobile app

Australia only

We're continuing to improve and add helpful new features to MYOB Assist, the companion app for MYOB Business.

Know where your quotes are at
The new Quotes in Progress tile helps customers keep track of outstanding quotes at a glance so you can follow up faster, send quotes, convert them to invoices, or update their status on the spot.

Faster invoicing, fewer surprises
Invoices are now quicker to create and edit, with a simpler flow for saved items, custom items and unit pricing. There's also improved messages in the app when an invoice with services and items can only be edited in the browser, not in AccountRight.

After each release, we retire an older version

We usually release an AccountRight update around the middle of the month with improvements and fixes.

As updates are released, older versions are decommissioned and no longer work online. If you're using an older version and your file's online, you must update to the latest AccountRight version to keep working.

With the release of MYOB AccountRight 2026.6, if you're the 2026.5 version of MYOB AccountRight you must update your software by 10th August 2026* to continue accessing your online company file.

Shut down AccountRight when you're not using it. If you leave AccountRight open all the time, you may miss out on automatic updates.

* All dates are indicative only and subject to change.

How to get this update

If you use AccountRight PC Edition, you'll automatically be updated to the latest release. The next time you log in after that, you'll be prompted to restart AccountRight to complete the update.

If you see a message that AccountRight needs updating when you open AccountRight, you need to restart AccountRight to install any pending updates. See Getting the latest version.
