MYOB, Australia’s leading accounting solutions provider has announced that its popular mobile payments solution, MYOB PayDirect now accepts tap and go payments with a new contactless card reader.
Australia is leading the way in the adoption of contactless payments, with 54 percent of consumers now using a contactless card. MYOB General Manager, SME Solutions, James Scollay says this new product feature in MYOB PayDirect will further increase its appeal and usage amongst small business owners.
“60 percent of Australians using their contactless card, are transacting this way at least once a week, up from 43 percent last year. And it’s obvious why. With just a tap to complete a transaction, contactless payments are faster and more secure than using cash or entering a pin number,” says Mr. Scollay.
