How fit is your payroll?

15th April, 2016

To ensure your payroll is running smoothly, we’ve developed a 42-point checklist that allows our professional consultants to thoroughly examine your setup for any potential problems.

There have been significant changes in payroll legislation over the past few years including:

  • Amendments to The Holidays Act 2003 including changes to the way that leave is valued.
  • KiwiSaver and subsequent amendments to rules and tax calculations.
  • Leave in particular is now a danger zone and takes more and more effort to be compliant.

Do you need a Warrant of Fitness?

  1. Have you had your MYOB Payroll system (formerly Comacc Payroll Enterprise) since 2002?
  2. Do you have employees who work varying hours or regular overtime?
  3. Has there been more than one payroll person administering your system?
  4. Have you NOT attended more than one tax upgrade seminar in the last 5 years?
  5. Are you new to the system and/or haven’t had any formal training?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you could benefit from A Warrant of Fitness and an optimisation of your system.

How does a Warrant of Fitness (WOF) work?

We have a specially developed 42-point checklist our consultants use to review all areas of your payroll setup to make sure your system is running as effectively as possible.

We can visit your site (Auckland or Christchurch only) or view your data remotely.
