Get started
If you have the latest version of AccountRight on your PC and an MYOB subscription, you're ready to work online. Next, you'll need an online company file – this is where all your business data is stored.
If you purchased your AccountRight subscription online, your file is probably already online – just look for the green status bar at the bottom of the screen.

If the status bar is purple, your file is offline and you can put the file online. Or you can create an online file from scratch. If you purchased AccountRight and you own the software, your file will be offline – so you'll need to contact us to purchase a subscription and get your file online.
Once your company file is online you can open it to start working.
Hot tip... If your accountant or someone else set up AccountRight for you, they may have created your file already – if so, you just need to accept their invitation to work on it.
Work from anywhere
Now that you're online, you're no longer tied to the office. In fact, your no longer even tied to your computer.
You can choose to work on your online file:
on any computer that's connected to the internet and has AccountRight installed (need to install AccountRight on another computer?), or
on any device using a web browser.
This means you can work from home, at a café, or on the move – anywhere you can access the internet. Catch up on your books whenever it suits you, not just during regular business hours.
You can also install the MYOB Invoice app on your mobile device to manage your accounts and contacts, see who owes you money, and record payments too.
A modern look with handy shortcuts
When your company file is online, you'll enjoy a smart, clean looking command centre. You'll also have handy shortcuts at the top of each command centre to quickly action outstanding tasks and access popular reports and functions.
Offline company files, and backups restored locally or in a network, have a more traditional command centre without the handy shortcuts.

Work with others
It's simple for others to work on your online file at the same time as you, whether it be your colleagues, your bookkeeper, or your accountant.
That means easier, more efficient collaboration with your team, all while maintaining control over who sees what information and when. Check out the video on the right to learn more.
When you created your file, you may have invited others to access it, otherwise you can invite them now.
