Practical AI that solves real business problems
The biggest theme in 25 R2 is practical AI — embedded in ways that improve day-to-day operations, save time and support better decisions.
Build AI agents with AI Studio
One of the standout additions is AI Studio, which allows businesses to create AI-powered agents directly inside MYOB Acumatica using plain-language instructions – no coding required.
The kind of tasks that used to quickly consume hours – AI Studio handles. Simply describe what you want to produce, connect it to relevant business data, and generate outputs directly within the platform. That opens the door to a wide range of practical use cases that boost efficiency, including:
Drafting product descriptions for large catalogues
Summarising supplier transaction history
Preparing customer service responses
Automating repetitive administrative tasks
Because the agents work within your own business context, outputs are more relevant to your customers, products, workflows and transactions.
AI Studio is powered by AWS and Anthropic, which means enterprise-grade security with all AI processing running in local data centres. Your data never leaves Australian or New Zealand borders, and it’s never used to train external models. If you already have a preferred AI provider, you can connect that instead.
AI Studio is available in tech preview for 25 R2, with general availability planned for 26 R1. If you’re an existing MYOB Acumatica customer, register your interest in participating.
AI that helps teams act earlier
25 R2 also introduces AI capabilities designed to improve operational awareness and decision-making.
The new AI-powered Cross-Sell Assistant analyses historical sales data to recommend complementary products at time of sale, helping businesses uncover additional revenue opportunities without having to manually maintain cross-sell relationships.
For manufacturers, Production Variance Anomaly Detection automatically identifies unusual changes in production costs, labour time and efficiency. Instead of relying on manual reporting to identify issues after the fact, teams can manage by exception and investigate problems earlier – before they become more costly.
A faster, more intuitive user experience
Modern UI is the new face of MYOB Acumatica and it’s one of the biggest updates in the 25 R2 release.
This new user experience moves the platform forwards and a cleaner, faster and more intuitive interface, with improved navigation, personalisation and dashboard performance. Users can access information quicker, move through workflows with less friction, and tailor screens more easily to the way they work. It also delivers performance improvements of up to 30%.
Improvements across finance, CRM and payroll
25 R2 also introduces a range of enhancements across finance, customer management and workforce management.
Finance teams can now support inclusive taxes with external tax providers and build ARM reports more efficiently using cleaner layouts, instant previews, drag-and-drop reordering and automated row numbering.
CRM enhancements include redesigned task screens, vendor support case management, and the ability to send multiple invoices, quotes or orders together in a single grouped email per customer.
On the workforce side, the release supports new Australian Payday Super and New Zealand KiwiSaver compliance requirements and introduces a new Clock App that gives employees a simpler, more accurate way to capture time while improving the connection between MYOB Acumatica Workforce Management, Payroll and recorded hours.
Deeper industry capability across the platform
25 R2 delivers meaningful enhancements for manufacturing, construction, field services, and wholesale and distribution businesses.
Manufacturing
For manufacturers, the release improves visibility, traceability and production planning.
The new Production Order View provides a graphical view of material and scheduling status across every level of a production order, helping teams understand dependencies, identify delays earlier and plan with greater confidence.
Manufacturers can also now assign lot and serial attributes directly within manufacturing workflows when issuing materials or receiving finished goods into stock, improving inventory accuracy, traceability and compliance.
In addition, streamlined BOM cost rollups make it easier to model and compare costing scenarios without affecting live production data.
Construction and project-based businesses
For construction and project-based organisations, 25 R2 focuses on simplifying administration and improving collaboration between office and site teams.
A new Closed project status removes completed projects from active processes and lookups, helping teams stay focused on current work. Pre-defined user roles also make it faster to assign appropriate access levels across projects and teams, whilst mobile enhancements allow users to manage change orders on the go and approve proforma invoices with a single tap, reducing delays and keeping projects moving.
Wholesale and distribution
For distributors and supply chain businesses, 25 R2 strengthens both fulfilment and warehouse operations.
Order Orchestration can now automatically select the best warehouse — or combination of warehouses — based on stock availability, shipping location and business priority rules.
Directed Put-Away guides warehouse staff to the correct storage location through the mobile app, helping reduce misplaced inventory and improve receiving efficiency.
The release also introduces support for inter-company drop shipments, allowing businesses to fulfil orders from sister companies with fewer manual workarounds.
Field services
Field service teams also benefit from a redesigned Modern Calendar Board with improved drag-and-drop scheduling, filtering, grouping and role-based layouts.
For businesses managing mobile workforces, optional Azure Maps integration provides real-time visibility of appointment locations, routes and field staff throughout the day, helping dispatchers coordinate work more effectively.
A release focused on practical progress
Whether it’s building AI automations with AI Studio, improving warehouse decisions, strengthening production controls or delivering a faster and more intuitive user experience, MYOB Acumatica 25 R2 is a release designed to help businesses work smarter as they continue to grow and scale.
