Start using your Solo Money Account

After you've opened a Solo Money Account, you can set it up to start getting paid and making payments for your business.

You're already set up to get paid into your Solo Money Account

When you open your Solo Money Account, we'll update your invoices to use your Solo Money Account's BSB and account number for direct debit (bank transfer) payments*. This means that invoices created after opening your account will use your Solo Money Account BSB and account number.

Tap to Pay and online payments

When you opened your account, we also asked if you wanted to make your Solo Money Account where you get paid for Tap to Pay and online payments. If you decided to keep your old bank account, you can change this to your Solo Money Account in settings. Just go to Money in, tap settings (⚙️), tap Invoice settings and tap Payment settings.

Create a PayID for your Solo Money Account and add it to your invoices

Your PayID can only be linked to one bank account at a time. You can transfer your PayID if you've already used it elsewhere by contacting the bank that registered it.

  1. Go to Solo Money, tap settings (⚙️) and tap PayID under your payment settings.

  2. Tap + next to the email or mobile number linked to your bank account to create your ID.
We'll send a 6-digit confirmation code to your email address or mobile number for verification purposes.
After verification, you can choose the bank account you'd like the PayID to be linked to.

  3. Once you've chosen the bank account, review your details before the PayID is created.

  4. Tap Continue.

To add your PayID to your invoices, go to Money in, tap settings (⚙️), tap Invoice settings and tap Payment settings.

Fund your new account before making payments

Send funds from another account into your new account to get started. You can copy your BSB and account number from the app. Just go to Solo Money and tap the share button under your account name.

Start paying with your physical and digital card

When your Solo Business Debit card has arrived in the mail (it can take 10 days), you need to activate it before you can use it. If you didn't order one when you opened your new Solo Money Account, you can request one from Solo Money settings > Debit card.

Once you've activated your physical card, you can add the digital version to your phone.

You'll then be prompted to set up a PIN for the card. Please ensure your PIN is only known to you and does not contain simple number sequences that can be easily guessed.

Troubleshooting

Payment from customer is missing

When you take payment with Tap to Pay or online payments, it can take two business days for the money to reach your Solo Money Account. You'll need to wait for the money to land in your account before you can confirm the match.
