The Practice Management Timesheet widget lets you quickly enter your time.
You’ll find it in the top-right of the navigation bar as a clock icon. You can also use this widget as a stopwatch while you’re working.
When you click the clock icon, the widget opens with four tabs:
Add
You can also use this tab for normal timesheet entry. Simply add:
Date
Start time
Client name (via the client search)
Task (Tasks available for this client will be available to choose)
Activity (Choose from the drop-down list)
Units or hours
Narration
Click Save.
The entry will appear on the relevant date and time in your timesheet calendar view. You will need to navigate to the Timesheet area to review and submit, approve, and post your timesheet.
View
Use this tab to see a summary of the time you’ve entered in your timesheets.
Timer
You can also record time using the Timer section, which works like a stopwatch.
To start timing, click Play and enter a description.
You can leave a stopwatch running while you work, and you can have multiple stopwatches running at the same time:
Add a clear description to each one so you can easily see which timer relates to which piece of work.
When you’ve finished, click the Pause/Stop button, then click the Save icon.
This opens the Add tab and pre-fills the time/units and narration from your timer. Complete the remaining details (Client, Task, Activity, etc.) and adjust the units if needed.
Warning: The timer records partial units. If you don’t want to record partial units, overwrite the Units value.
Click Save and the entry will appear in your timesheet.
Repeat this process for each stopwatch in the widget.
Planned
This links with the Planner module and shows jobs assigned to you with dates matching the current date.
Pinning the timesheet widget
You can pin, or dock, the Timesheet Widget anywhere on the MPM page you currently have the widget displaying on by using the ‘Pin’ icon. This keeps the widget in the foreground of that browser tab/page for easy access.
If you move to another tab in your browser, the widget will remain on the original tab you pinned it to, and be there when you return to the that tab.
