Managing third-party app connections

The App Connections page is where you can:

  • see which third-party apps are connected to MYOB Business

  • see what data they can access

  • renew or disconnect a connected app.

Only users with the role of Administrator can change app connections. Non-admin users may be able to see some connection details but can’t renew or disconnect apps.

Some apps might not be visible

While we roll out the full App Connection experience throughout 2026, some apps might not appear on the App Connections page. We expect this rollout to be completed by 31 August 2026.

Access App Connections in your business menu

Click your business name > App Connections and you'll be redirected to the App Connections page in a separate browser tab.

  • Connection expiry – when the current consent period ends (usually 12 months from when you first connected the app).

  • Status – for example, Connected, Expires in X days, or Expired.

  • Action – allows you to Renew or Disconnect an app.

  • Click a connected app to see a summary of the data and features the app can use, for example, sales, contacts, bank transactions.

Renew an app's connection

When you first connect an app to MYOB Business, the standard consent period is 12 months from the connection date. When an app’s consent is close to expiring, you’ll receive a reminder email and the status for the app will shows Expires in X days.

To keep the app working without interruption, renew the connection before the expiry date.

  1. On the App Connections page, click Renew connection for the app you want to renew.

  2. Review the summary of what the app can access and the terms and conditions.

  3. Confirm to renew the connection. The status and expiry date will update once the renewal is complete.

Connection expiry reminders

The person who connected the app will receive a reminder email 28 days, 14 days and 2 days before the app connection expires. If this person is no longer in your business, the notifications are sent to another user in your file who has the Administrator role.

Disconnect an app

If you no longer want an app to access your MYOB data, you can disconnect it.

  1. On the App Connections page, click Disconnect for the app you want to disconnect.

  2. Read the confirmation message so you understand what will stop working.

  3. Confirm to remove the connection.

After you disconnect:

  • the app can no longer access your MYOB data for that MYOB Business file

  • any workflows that rely on that connection will stop until you reconnect and consent again
