Error: "The ServicePortNo registry key for AccountRight Server isn't valid"

This information only applies to the AccountRight Server Edition.

From 17 June 2026, working offline will no longer be supported in AccountRight PC Edition. This means if you’re using AccountRight Server Edition to host an offline company file in a network, you’ll need to install Server Edition on all workstations that access the file. From 17 June, AccountRight PC Edition will no longer be able to access offline network files.

How to update your network

This error is caused by a required file not being created in your computer's registry when installing AccountRight.

To fix this issue, you'll need to reinstall AccountRight Server Edition on your server.

To reinstall AccountRight Server Edition

Complete these steps on your server:

  1. Download the latest AccountRight Server Edition installer.

  2. Double-click the downloaded installer file to begin the installation.
