AI Assistant (Beta) is a chat feature in MYOB Business that lets you ask questions about your business in plain language. It’s currently available to a limited number of MYOB Business Lite, Pro and AccountRight browser customers in Australia.
With AI Assistant, you can:
get read-only insights into your income, expenses, cash flow, profit and outstanding invoices using your MYOB data
find answers to how-to and support questions about using MYOB Business, without leaving the chat
return to a previous conversation using your chat history
ask follow-up and multi-part questions in the same conversation.
AI Assistant only reads your data. It can’t make changes to your file, settings or business data.
About the beta
A beta is an early version of a new feature that you can try and give feedback on. Your feedback helps us improve the feature for everyone.
AI Assistant (Beta) is currently available to a select group of MYOB Business Lite, Pro and AccountRight browser customers in Australia while we refine the feature.

Using AI Assistant
If you’re part of the beta, you’ll see AI Assistant at the top of the screen in MYOB Business. Click it to start.
Start a new chat
Click AI Assistant at the top of the screen.
Type your question and send it.
To start a new chat, click the New chat icon.
Continue a previous chat
Open AI Assistant.
Click the Chat history icon.
Click a previous chat to continue it.
Your previous messages stay in the conversation, so AI Assistant can use the earlier context when answering follow-up questions.
Things you can ask AI Assistant
AI Assistant can answer questions about your business finances, how to use MYOB Business and general accounting topics.

Privacy and security
Your business data stays protected
AI Assistant doesn’t use your business data to train AI models. Your data is processed in Australia, kept within Australian systems and isn’t shared with third parties.
Your MYOB file stays safe
AI Assistant can read information to answer your questions, but it can’t make changes to your MYOB file, settings or business data.
You stay in control
AI Assistant aims to give accurate answers, but it can still make mistakes. Check important information in your MYOB file before acting on it, especially when making financial decisions. You can also speak with a financial advisor.
