What is an AI agent?
AI agents act like dedicated team members that handle tasks seamless for you in the background – streamlining workflows, eliminating manual steps, and keeping your business moving forward.
How accurate are the AI suggestions?
We have guardrails and evaluation measures in place to ensure the accuracy and safety of our AI outputs. However, AI can still get things wrong. Before making decisions based on AI generated suggestions, you should verify them using your own judgment and/or seek professional advice. If you have concerns about any suggestions that are shown, our AI allows you to see the context and data source of how the suggestion was made. If you still have concerns, you can report it to us directly using the in-built thumbs-up/thumbs-down review function.
How can I check or verify the accuracy of an AI suggestion?
If you want to validate the suggestions shown, our AI products allow you to identify the data the AI relied on to generate the suggestion. This means you can see the data source behind the suggestion, to understand what it was based on and verify the AI got it right.
Who is accountable for MYOB’s AI features?
MYOB is accountable for how our AI systems are designed, developed and operated. This includes how they’re tested, monitored, updated and supported over time in line with the The Australian Government’s Guidance for AI Adoption.
You, as the customer, remain responsible for how you choose to use MYOB products and for any business, financial, tax or employment decisions you make based on AI suggestions. We recommend you engage a trusted advisor to ensure AI suggestions are validated.
How can I give feedback, raise a concern or complain about an AI product?
We provide a number of ways to give feedback about our AI products. Within our products, you may see features such as thumbs‑up/thumbs‑down that let you flag outputs you think are inaccurate.
You can also contact our support team through the usual MYOB support channels. We review this feedback, may adjust models or controls, and, where appropriate, use it to strengthen our AI governance and risk management.
Do I stay in control when using MYOB AI?
Yes. You remain in control and can always override AI suggestions. Our AI is designed to support and accelerate your work, not to replace your judgement. Where AI makes recommendations (for example, coding transactions or business insights), you can review, change or ignore them.
We recommend that you or a trusted advisor reviews the outputs before making any decisions.
How does MYOB protect my data when using AI?
Security and privacy controls apply to AI features just as they do to the rest of our products. We are ISO27001 certified and implement technical and organisational measures to help protect your data, and we design AI systems in line with Australian privacy laws. This includes controls on who can access data, how long it is retained, encryption and how we monitor for and respond to potential security incidents.
