Get started with Client Accounting in MYOB Practice Compliance

Sync your client ledger, customise financial reports and add access for your staff

Client Accounting in MYOB Practice Compliance is an AI-powered, cloud-based platform for accountants that integrates with various online accounting systems, including Xero, and QuickBooks.

Setting up your practice

These setup steps can only be done by a Client Accounting administrator. If you're the administrator, you'd have received a confirmation email from MYOB.

Add users and create styles

Go to compliance.myob.com and use your MYOB credentials to access Client Accounting

  • Add users: Create users and customise their access levels.

  • Create styles: Use our pre-configured report bundles available to add styles and customise the reports for your practice by adding logos, colours, headers, footers, etc.

Add your first client and sync client data

Now you've set up your practice settings, you can start by adding your first client and syncing their ledger.

  1. Go to partner.myob.com and use your MYOB credentials to log in to Practice Compliance.

  2. Set up financial reporting for your client: Choose the client you want to prepare financial reports for. This includes MYOB AE/AO clients who are synced into Practice Compliance.

  3. Sync a ledger to your client: After you’ve set up financial reporting in Practice Compliance, choose the ledger you want to sync. This can be a cloud-based ledger or add data manually using Excel or a CSV file.

You day-to-day workflow

With your practice set up, you're ready to start working on client files.

Here’s the day-to-day workflow you need for each client:

  1. Choose the client you want to prepare financial reports for.

  2. Add client data by syncing an online ledger or import from a csv file.

  3. Map the chart of accounts and prepare workpapers

  4. Get an overview of client ledger make any adjustments, and manage the client's communication.

  5. Generate financial statements using your practice's customised style.

  6. Create filters and queries to get insights into your client's business performance.
