Get started with Client Accounting in MYOB Practice Compliance

Sync your client ledger, customise financial reports and add access for your staff

Client Accounting in MYOB Practice Compliance is an AI-powered, cloud-based platform for accountants that integrates with various online accounting systems, including Xero, and QuickBooks.

  • Sync your client ledger live and reduce manual errors.

  • Automate working papers workflows and streamline your accounting work

  • Prepare financial and management reporting and provide data insights for advisory services.

Accessing Client Accounting

You can access client accounting using your MYOB credentials.

  • Simply go to compliance.myob.com and sign in with your MYOB credentials.

  • You can also access client accounting from MYOB Practice after you’ve linked a client ledger to a client.

    • Open the client and go to Client workspace > Financial reporting.

Preparing your practice for Client Accounting

Before you begin, you need to do some set-up steps in Client Accounting to help you get started.

In Client Accounting

Log in to client accounting and set up the following

  • Create styles: Use our pre-configured report bundles available to add styles and customise the reports for your practice by adding logos, colours, headers, footers, etc.

  • Add users: Create users and customise their access levels.

In Practice Compliance

Find a client in Practice Compliance that you want to work on and sync a ledger

  • Link a client from Practice Compliance: Choose the client you want to prepare financial reports for. This includes MYOB AE/AO clients who are synced into Practice Compliance.

  • Sync a ledger to your client: After you’ve linked your client from Practice Compliance, choose the ledger you want to sync. This can be a cloud-based ledger or add data manually using Excel or a CSV file.
