Non-Administrators can not add or remove permissions/roles for employees via the Employee profile page
What’s the issue?
In MYOB Practice Management 2025.3.1 there is an issue that prevents non-admin users from changing the roles or permissions of employees on the Employee’s profile page.
Who does it affect?
Users who have permission to manage roles and permissions of other users, such as Office Administrators or the People team are affected.
Users with the Administrator role, for example the Practice Administrator, are not affected by this issue and can continue to manage employee permissions as normal.
What is the work around?
Administrators are not affected and will continue to be able to manage permissions for employees normally.
We recommend that non-administrator users have their Practice Administrator assign roles to newly onboarded employees or when employee roles need to be changed.
When will this be fixed?
A fix is already planned for inclusion in the next release, MPM 2025.4.0. This update is scheduled to be available in January 2026.
