Business management platform MYOB has unveiled the winners of its anticipated Partner Awards for 2022, celebrating those who have supported businesses of all sizes to thrive and succeed, together.
The Australian winners of the MYOB Partner Awards 2022 are Kerry Underwood from Your Bookkeeping Angels VIC for Certified Consultant of the Year, KPG Taxation for Accounting Practice of the Year, and Ro-Sette Pty Ltd for Bookkeeping Practice of the Year.
2022 marks the 14th year of the awards, recognising the accountants, bookkeepers and consultants who go above and beyond to ensure small and medium businesses succeed.
The awards run across Australia and New Zealand and span five categories; Accounting Practice of the Year, Bookkeeping Practice of the Year, Certified Consultant of the Year, as well as the debut awards, Educator of the Year and Education Partner of the Year, with the two new awards recognising the educators and institutions that are inspiring the next generation of professionals.
The Partner Awards were judged by a panel of MYOB executives including Chief Sales and Support Officer – Daniel West, who says the awards are an opportunity to reflect on the important role accountants and bookkeepers play in supporting businesses to achieve their ambitions.
“We’re emerging from two incredibly challenging years and our partners have been there every step of the way, creating a path of opportunity for the businesses they serve. Partners are a vital asset in our business community and our awards platform is designed to help celebrate and recognise all their efforts – putting leaders among our partner community in the spotlight,” says West.
“This year was all about celebrating those who have helped their customers to thrive and shine together, and our winners have really embodied that notion across the last 12 months.”
Accounting Practice of the Year Australia was awarded to KPG Taxation with the judges noting their efficient delivery and ambitious growth plans as a standout.
Ro-Sette was MYOB's Bookkeeping Practice of the Year Australia winner for their long-term client satisfaction and positive mindset, even after being affected by flooding this year.
Certified Consultant of the Year Australia went to Kerry Underwood from Your Bookkeeping Angels VIC for their up-to-date knowledge of MYOB and setting up tailored, easy to use files for clients.
Educator of the Year and Education Partner of the Year are combined across Australia and New Zealand, with Julia Yonghua Wu, University of Canterbury and Nikki Schonfeldt, University of Western Australia joint winners of the Educator of the Year award and Learner Link awarded the Education Partner of the Year award.
In addition to the major prizes, MYOB also celebrates the loyalty of its longest-standing Partners with its annual Service Awards. These highlight the individual Certified Consultants across both Australia and New Zealand who have reached 10, 15, 20 or 25 year milestones as MYOB Partners by the end of the 2022 calendar year.
Certified consultant winner Kerry Underwood is thrilled with her win, particularly as we recover from the effects of COVID-19.
“This award actually means a lot more than what it once would have, due to all the hard work we have put in over COVID. Being recognised for all our hard work, not just myself but all my employees at Your Bookkeeping Angels, makes it all worth it,” she says.
