MYOB Acumatica launches new AI Studio in collaboration with AWS

MYOB Acumatica launches a new AI Studio enabling mid-sized businesses to easily build and run agents within the platform.

MYOB Acumatica is launching AI Studio, a new feature that provides mid-sized businesses with a flexible way to build intelligent agents into the platform they already use to run their operations, without having to rely on or learn another tool. The new capability, delivered in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), sees AI embedded into the workflows, data and decisions that sit at the heart of the business, to automate more of their work.

Through AWS Bedrock, Anthropic will power the managed large language model (LLM) experience - giving every MYOB Acumatica customer access to world-class AI. MYOB Acumatica’s open architecture means customers will also be able to use their LLM of choice as they look to leverage AI automation throughout the platform.

The new collaboration builds on the momentum of MYOB Acumatica's spring release, which introduced three new AI experiences focused on productivity, visibility and future-fit adaptability for mid-sized businesses late last year.

New MYOB research polling more than 1,000 decision-makers from mid-sized firms across ANZ shows 75% of business leaders believe AI has driven meaningful productivity improvements. This figure increases to 92% amongst businesses who are the most advanced in business autonomy.

MYOB Executive General Manager - Mid-Market, Paul Voges, says mid-sized businesses across Australia and New Zealand are focussing on the foundations that make AI work harder for their business.

“Our latest research highlights that the biggest gains from AI are realised when key foundations - integrated systems, strong data, skilled people, and the right governance - are working together. Your ERP is the single source of truth that connects your operations. By embedding industry leading AI capability directly into MYOB Acumatica, we’re making that intelligence available where it has the most impact,” says Paul.

With AWS Bedrock, AI processing will run in local data centres, helping keep data in-region while providing the enterprise-grade security, compliance and scalability Australian and New Zealand businesses expect as they grow.

This matters at a time when many local business leaders are balancing AI ambition with growing caution around cybersecurity and privacy, Paul explains.

“In our Business Autonomy study, cybersecurity and data privacy concerns were the top barrier for local decision-makers looking to scale AI in their business. Running Anthropic’s models through AWS Bedrock on local infrastructure helps our customers embrace AI Studio with greater confidence their data stays local.

“Mid-sized businesses shouldn’t have to make trade-offs to access the strongest technology, and getting both market-leading AI performance directly in the platform and local data security, is precisely what this partnership delivers.”

Helping MYOB partners and customers get the most from AI Studio from the outset, the collaboration with AWS will deliver an AI Studio Hackathon for pilot program customers – an exclusive three-hour hands-on enablement session for customers to build and test automations in the platform, on top of dedicated MYOB support.

Customers can access AI Studio in May while it's in the early access (technology preview) phase, with wider availability and enhancements to follow later in the year.
