Preparing you for the future
If you are using the following features, you might not be able to upgrade to online AccountRight just yet.
Over the next 12 months we will be contacting all clients who are using AccountRight Classic to help them transition to an online solution that works for them.
Multi-currency functionality is now available in the latest version of AccountRight (Premier only). You’ll notice we’ve made several improvements and there are still a few differences between the v19 and online versions.
To find out if you’re able to upgrade to the latest version today, and see what’s different in the online version, check out our help topic on how to upgrade a multi-currency company file.
M-Powered Payments is not supported in AccountRight 2019.
But don't worry, we're currently developing a solution to M-Powered Payments in newer versions of AccountRight which will give users the ability to pay super, employees, tax and other solutions more directly from AccountRight 2019. Also, M-Powered Payments users have been given an extension to their product support to 31 Dec 2019, by which time the payments functionality will have been delivered.
You can upgrade now to AccountRight 2019, create an ABA (Australian Banking Association) file, and load it up to internet banking or a business banking portal for payment.
Bank feeds can then automatically allocate the payment in AccountRight.
If you hold inventory in multiple locations and use multiple inventory location tracking to track stock quantities, you can now upgrade to the latest version of AccountRight (Premier only). To read more about multi-location functionality, please refer to Multiple stock locations.
Negative inventory will not be supported in the online version of AccountRight.
You can still upgrade to the latest version by adjusting your inventory quantities and values to zero (or greater) and turn off negative inventory.
By moving to the newer version of AccountRight, you have access to Pay Super which gives you the ability to submit super with the click of a button, directly from AccountRight. You can also control who can authorise payments and track payment processing status. Pay Super is a free service included as a benefit in your AccountRight subscription, however, as this is a live service, you will need an active subscription per each company file.
You will need to complete the Pay Super application process to activate this service.
During the past 5 years, most of our developer partners who have built integrations for v19 have also developed integrations to AccountRight 2018. We recommend you contact your developer and ask about their integration support for the latest version of AccountRight. If you are unable to use your existing add-on with AccountRight, we recommend checking our directory of over 300 add-ons at myob.com/addons.
If you choose not to migrate to the latest version of AccountRight, your existing ODBC integration to v19 will not be affected. However this means it will no longer be supported and you'll be using it at your own risk.
As of September 2018, we ceased issuing new ODBC licenses and keys. Any existing ODBC key will continue to work.
We will cease activation of all ODBC licences and keys from August 2019 in alignment with the cease of support for AccountRight v19.
