Free online marketing webinars for MYOB Partners

I’ve seen several internet trends come and go in the last 20 years, but the reach and influence of online marketing continues to grow.

Surprisingly, around 50 percent of MYOB Partners at last year’s Partner Connect events didn’t have a website or an online marketing strategy of any kind.

Every profession and industry has radically altered its marketing to try to harness the power of search engines, social media sites, or to try to reach mobile internet users – so why not ours?

Could it simply be that a lot don’t know where to start when it comes to online marketing?

Since 2010 I’ve worked solely with accountants and bookkeepers to help them create lead-generating websites and online marketing strategies – running into my fair share of web-sceptic firms.

Perhaps the reluctance is because online marketing for professional services businesses isn’t easy, and just having a static website doesn’t cut it anymore.

That doesn’t mean your firm’s website can’t generate new business for you, but first you need to understand how business owners use the internet. Then you can create an online experience that meets users’ needs and ultimately encourages them to work with you.

It sounds simple, but of course the devil is in the detail. Mereki Nieman, Partner Program Manager at MYOB, recognised that many partners don’t know where to begin:
