Pre-registration opens for mobile payments solution MYOB PayDirect

Australia’s leading accounting software provider today opened online pre-registrations for its mobile payments solution MYOB PayDirect at, prior to its limited release on 31 March.

Announced at the company’s recent national partner roadshow, MYOB PayDirect will turn small businesses’ smartphones into quick and easy payments terminals. Following the limited release to early adopters later this month, a general release is planned for next quarter.

Extra detail released today confirms the app is compatible with internet-enabled devices with iOS 6 or higher, and Android 4.0 or higher, and will be free to download from the Apple app store and Google Play store. MYOB also shared that the reader:

  • Connects to the compatible smartphone via an audio jack
  • Accepts ‘swipe and sign’ and ‘chip and sign’ credit cards*
  • Has a daily transaction limit per merchant is $2,500**
  • When fully charged, will perform up to 2,500 transactions

In addition, there are no lock-in contracts or set-up fees for MYOB PayDirect. The streamlined application process and affordable monthly payment plans make this an attractive solution for all active mobile businesses - from tradies to beauty therapists and accountants to personal trainers.
