What do I need to do?

If you would like to continue with your current subscription, you don’t have to do anything. Your subscription pricing was automatically updated and reflected in any invoices sent to you after 1 April 2024. 

If you’re currently subscribed to a product with more functionality than you need, there are options to move to other versions of MYOB Business or AccountRight.

Take a look at your business files against the product comparison chart to work out which product is right for your business and choose one of the options below.

If you work with an accountant or bookkeeper, contact them if you would like their assistance as you navigate this process.

You can see a list of your discounted files from the email notification sent to you in February 2024 with the subject line ‘Changes to the AccountRight Data File Subscription Discount’.

To view a full list of your files login to my.myob and select My Products from the dropdown menu.

What are my options?

Downgrade some of my files to a simpler version of AccountRight

You may have files associated to products with functionality you aren’t using, for example, your additional files may have access to payroll, but the business doesn’t have staff.

You may have the option to migrate files to AccountRight Standard, AccountRight Plus or to AccountRight Premier. 

Restrictions apply. Refer to the table below to see if you can migrate a file.  If the file has previously used features marked with an x  below, you will not be able to move to the lower product tier. For example, if you are currently using AccountRight Plus and have previously used Payroll, you cannot downgrade to AccountRight Standard.

Migrate some of my files to MYOB Business Lite or Pro

If you don’t use the more advanced AccountRight features, you can migrate your AccountRight files to MYOB Business Lite or Pro. Compare MYOB subscription plans.

MYOB Business has many of the same features as AccountRight desktop app, but being a web-based product - has a different look and feel. MYOB Business is similar to AccountRight in the browser.  You can try out the web version at any time before making your decision by accessing AccountRight through the browser.

Some features may not be available after migration. Please view the FAQ: 'What information is brought across to MYOB Business?' for more information.

If you work with an accountant or bookkeeper, you can contact them if you would like them to assist you through this process. 

To migrate a file to MYOB Business manually:

  1. Fill out the form below including the MYOB Business product tier you'd like to move to.
  2. We'll contact you about uploading your AccountRight file and support you through the migration process.
Note: You’ll need to complete these steps for each file you’d like to move to MYOB Business.
Cancel some of my unused or unwanted files

You can cancel any unused or unwanted AccountRight files by following the steps on the page the page Cancelling an AccountRight company file subscription. Cancellation of your subscription will take effect on the last day of the month if you notify us at least 10 calendar days before the end of the month. 

We also recommend downloading a backup of your AccountRight file for safekeeping.

Direct Debit Terms and Conditions

  • I have sufficient authority to approve the use of my business’ existing Direct Debit Request and authorise MYOB to withdraw the relevant monthly product subscription fee(s) (as advertised on myob.com) from the current bank account or credit card shown in my business’ existing Direct Debit Request.
  • I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Direct Debit Terms and Conditions.

Please make sure your payment details are up to date in My Account.
