What is e-invoicing?
e-invoicing is coming to Australia and New Zealand. It is a new way to send and receive invoices directly between the financial software of a supplier and buyer, that aims to reduce costs and improve payment times. You can now send e-invoices from your MYOB software, and we've started work on the capability to receive e-invoices into MYOB.
Is e-invoicing for you?
There are some important things to know about e-invoicing:
- e-invoicing requires both the seller and buyer to be part of the PEPPOL network. You can view the PEPPOL directory here.
- Stage two of e-invoicing for MYOB will be the receiving of an e-invoice from your supplier. Stage one, sending e-invoices has already been enabled within your MYOB software, you can learn more here.
- e-invoicing will be mandated for all Commonwealth agencies by 1 July 2022.
