What is a MYOB AccountRight subscription? Toggle Section

An MYOB AccountRight subscription gives you access to store and use your company data online, online services, phone and digital support as well as other benefits. Examples of online services can be found here.

Is there a minimum period for an MYOB AccountRight subscription? Toggle Section

No, we have removed the 12 month minimum term so you can subscribe for as little as a month at a time.

*What is included with the free automatic updates? Toggle Section

Upgrading your software means that you’ll receive free automatic software updates as and when we make them available. You’ll have access to the latest version of AccountRight to use on the desktop which may include new features, compatibility releases or bug fix/stability/performance releases. Versions can be identified via version numbers for example 2021.2.1.

This free upgrade does not include access to online services such as Tax Table updates, Single Touch Payroll, BankFeeds and Online Invoice Payments. Additional online services, phone or digital support are available with an AccountRight subscription.

How do the automatic updates work? Toggle Section

Once AccountRight 2021.3 (or later) is installed, any future updates will download automatically in the background while AccountRight is being used.

When you close AccountRight, you'll be asked to restart AccountRight to complete the update. If you're using an online file, doing this will trigger the file to be upgraded to the latest version if no one else is using it.

If you want you can choose to restart AccountRight and upgrade your file later.

What happens if I currently have more than one company file? Toggle Section

As part of your MYOB AccountRight subscription, you need to nominate an active company file to save online. If you have multiple company files, you can choose which company files you would like to store online.

If you require more than two company files to be stored online, you can purchase additional MYOB AccountRight subscriptions. A multiple company file discount of 60% applies for additional company files purchased for the same business and MYOB AccountRight product.

What happens if I cancel my MYOB AccountRight subscription? Toggle Section

If you have a full MYOB AccountRight desktop software license and cancel an MYOB AccountRight subscription, the company file will no longer be available online – but you'll still be able to use the file offline with AccountRight on your desktop.

What happens to my online company files if I cancel my MYOB AccountRight subscription? Toggle Section

If you cancel your MYOB AccountRight subscription or any additional online company files, the files will be available to download to your desktop for 30 days. After 30 days, the online company file will be deleted.
