KEY DETAILS

1. Promotion entrants must:

• be residents of Australia or New Zealand;
• be at least 18 years of age;
• have either a provisional membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) membership; or
• be within the first 5 years of becoming a full CA ANZ member.

2. Employees and contractors of the Promoter, and their immediate families, are not eligible for entry.

3. Start time and date: 10:00am AEST / 8:00am NZST on Wednesday, 24 May 2023.

4. Closing time and date: 12:00am AEDT / 2:00am NZDT on Tuesday, 31 October 2023.

PRIZES

5. There will be five (5) winners.

6. Each winner will receive prize money of $1,000 AUD (if the winner is a resident of Australia) or $1,000 NZD (if the winner is a resident of New Zealand) deposited into a bank account nominated by the winner.

7. The total value of the entire prize pool is up to $5,000 AUD. Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged. Any incidental costs associated with claiming or redeeming a prize are the responsibility of the winner.

8. HOW TO ENTER

9. The promotion starts at the time and date specified in section 3. Entries must be received by the time and date specified in section 4 (Promotion Period).

10. To enter the promotion, the entrant must, during the Promotion Period:

• complete all required fields on the online competition entry form available at https://forms.office.com/r/7rAVaY3qJ6; and
• answer the following question: “What impact do you want to have as a CA?”

11. Only one entry per person is permitted.

12. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and consents to:

• receipt of any communication regarding the promotion and other communication which informs the entrant about upcoming events and the products, services of the Promoter or its related bodies corporate; and
• the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image, testimony or submission to the promotion in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of advertising and marketing this promotion (including any outcome), the Promoter’s products and services or the Promoter more generally.

13. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant, owned by the entrant and free of any claims, including copyright or trademark claims by other parties.  Entries must not have been published previously or have won any awards or prizes in other competitions.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to:

• verify the validity of entries and entrants;
• disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions; and
• disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, or in the Promoter’s opinion, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory language.

15. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

16. One (1) winner will be chosen on each of the dates set out below:

• Friday, 30 June 2023;
• Monday, 31 July 2023;
• Thursday, 31 August 2023
• Friday, 29 September 2023; and
• Tuesday, 31 October 2023

(Selection Dates).

17. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be judged individually by the Promoter based on literary and creative merit. The Promoter will choose the most interesting, genuine or entertaining answers.

18. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

19. If for any reason a winner does not accept or take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that prize will be forfeited (without any compensation).

NOTIFICATION AND PUBLICATION OF WINNERS

20. Each winner will be notified via email within five (5) business days of the relevant Selection Date. 

21. Each winner must notify the Promoter in writing that they wish to accept a prize before the time stipulated by the Promoter. Prizes will be supplied to each winner within 15 business days after the winner supplies any additional information requested by the Promoter which is required for delivery of the prize (including full legal name, BSB and account number, name of bank and CA ANZ account details).

22. The names of winners will be published on MYOB’s Facebook and LinkedIn page.

If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, unforeseen legal or commercial circumstances or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, delay or suspend the competition, or disqualify any entrant, as appropriate.
