I cannot attend the course/seminar I enrolled for. What are my options?

Please refer to the terms and conditions of your enrolment (found online, and on your Enrolment Confirmation letter). In particular, please note section 4 (copied below) which covers booking cancellations & transfers.

The following policy applies for all booking cancellation requests received by us that involve Classroom Training:

  • 10 or more Business days’ notice before the course - full Refund provided.
  • 5 to 9 Business days’ notice before the course - Credit is provided for full cost of the original course.
  • 1 to 4 business days’ notice before the course – Credit is provided for 50% of the original course cost.
  • No Refund or Credit is available if notice of cancellation is received on the day of the course or for non-attendance.

The following policy applies for all booking transfer requests received by us that involve Classroom Training:

  • 5 or more business days’ notice before the course – transfer to an alternative course is allowed with no administration fee charged.
  • 1 to 4 business days’ notice before the course - 50% of the original course price will be credited towards the cost of the alternative course booking.
  • No Refund or Credit is available if the transfer request is received on the day of the course or for non-attendance.
  • Transferring bookings from one person to another is permitted provided you have advised us prior to the commencement of the course and we have acknowledged receipt of that advice.
 

I will not be able to attend the course I enrolled for and would like to send someone else in my place. How can I do that?

You will need to contact us by phone on 1300 555 151 9.00am to 5.00pm AEDST to arrange the transfer. This must be done prior to the course date, and you may not send someone in your place without advising us first. Approval must also be given before the new attendee can participate.

You may also email us with the request to training@myob.com , ensuring you provide 4 points of account identification that we can confirm (account name, your name, phone number and email address on file), and the details of the new person that your enrolment should be transferred to (including their email address)*.

*Please note: we can only transfer courses to someone else on the same account.
 

 

I attended an MYOB classroom training course, but I would like to do it again. What is the Training Guarantee?

The Training Guarantee is an exclusive offer for those who have attended classroom based training with us, and find they did not make the most of the course. This offer means the client can attend the same course again, at no additional cost, provided it is done within three months of the initial enrolment.

Please refer to the terms and conditions of your enrolment (found online, and on your Enrolment Confirmation letter). In particular, please note section 6 (copied below) which covers the Training Guarantee conditions:

The MYOB Training Guarantee is our upfront commitment to you that you'll be comfortable with what you learn in our classes. If you don't feel that you've grasped the concepts and can put the training into practice, we invite you to repeat the same course within a three-month period free of charge.

The MYOB Training Guarantee is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • Offer is only applicable to the original person attending an MYOB classroom training course and is not transferable.
  • Booking requests for a repeat sitting of a classroom course are subject to availability and can be made via email to training@myob.com or calling the contact centre on 1300 555 151.
  • Offer is only valid for 3 months (90 days) from the date of the original classroom course, after which date it becomes null and void.
  • Offer is only applicable for one repeat sitting of the same course originally attended.

Please note: we are unable to transfer your course under Training Guarantee, so once a date has been selected and enrolment processed under this program we will be unable to change it.

 

I recently completed an MYOB classroom based training course, but my name on the Certificate is wrong. How can I get that fixed?

Please email training@myob.com with your request, ensuring you advise us of the correct spelling and your mailing address. Once your enrolment has been confirmed, a new Certificate will be issued and mailed to the address on file.

Please allow two weeks for delivery.

 

I am located too far away from one of your training centres. Can I order the training manual instead?

The classroom training manuals are not available for separate sale unless you are an MYOB Partner (Certified Consultants, Approved Bookkeepers, Accredited Trainers, and Professional Partners). This is because they are not designed for self paced learning, and are therefore unsuitable for learning at home.

 

Do you offer any online training courses?

We offer many online training courses to help you understand how to use your MYOB product. Please visit https://myacademy.myob.com/to view all courses available.

 

What training manuals can I purchase from MYOB to study with at home?

The classroom training manuals are not available for separate sale unless you are an MYOB Partner (Certified Consultants, Approved Bookkeepers, Accredited Trainers, and Professional Partners). This is because they are not designed for self-paced learning, and are therefore unsuitable for learning at home.

 

I am a Subscriber. Do I get a discount on training courses?

MYOB offers a 15% discount on training for subscriber clients (you must be on an active agreement at the time of booking) or for those on a 30 day Introductory Support (for new purchasers of the program).

This discount applies to all classroom enrolments, and is not retrospective. This means that if the enrolment progressed to payment stage, and the discount did not apply, we will not refund the balance. The onus is on you to ensure the correct amount of your training booking was applied at the time of payment.

 

I am a Subscriber, but my discount did not apply to my booking. How can I get that refunded?

Does MYOB offer onsite training?

Whilst MYOB class sizes are small and hands on, we understand that sometimes clients prefer to have someone come out and train them onsite. As we do not offer onsite training directly, we recommend you look for an MYOB Certified Consultant and ask the question of them.

MYOB Certified Consultants are certified by MYOB on an annual basis; however they are not employed by us, so we could not recommend one above the other, nor can we advise on their rates. Not all Certified Consultants offer training either, and they also have a range of skills that start at simple bookkeeping, all the way up to CPA’s.

I have been using other computerised accounting programs and now want to learn MYOB. What are the best courses for me?

If you have used other computerised accounting packages, you may be able to start with Day to Day Processes with AccountRight. This will get you familiar with the program, as it covers Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and reconciling your bank accounts, enabling you to perform all those day to day tasks required in a business.

Of course, after that you may wish to do our more advanced courses, Payroll, and End of Period Reporting and BAS.

If you wish to learn MYOB Essentials Accounting instead the course Get going with MYOB Essentials Accounting is most suitable.

 

Do I get a certificate at the end of the course?

All our classroom course participants receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course. As no assessment is given, we cannot offer a Certificate of Attainment or similar.

If you were enrolled into the class just prior to its commencement (ie you enrolled the day before), a Certificate may not have been prepared in time for you. Should this be the case, please let your trainer know, so we can arrange one to be sent to you. Alternatively, you can email training@myob.com with your request.

 

How can I pay for my courses?

Credit card (MasterCard or Visa) is the best way to pay for your training as we do not accept enrolments without payment. You may do this online at https://myacademy.myob.com/, or call on 1300 555 151 during business hours.

 

What courses do MYOB offer?

MYOB have a range of training courses to suit new learners, all the way through to more advanced users of MYOB software.

For example, if you are new to bookkeeping, and also need to learn MYOB, our MYOB Bookkeeping course is ideal.

If you already understand bookkeeping, but need to learn our software, then look at doing the Setting Up and/or Day to Day Processes courses. These would be followed by Payroll management and End of Period Reporting and Bas. Doing these will give you a thorough understanding of how to use your MYOB, and the confidence you are using it correctly.

More advanced users (those who have been using it for some time) will get much out of our courses Advanced Processes and Business Reporting and Analysis.

I am learning MYOB at TAFE and I need some help with it. I have asked my trainer, and they suggested I contact you.

MYOB do not offer technical support for students, and you should seek assistance from your trainer. You may also find our Support Notes helpful, and these are freely available online at at www.myob.com.au/helpme.

 

What courses does MYOB have, and where are they run?

MYOB have training courses in most major capital cities in Australia including Sydney CBD and Melbourne. Please click the link for a Training Schedule, or look online at www.myob.com.au/. Alternatively, you can call 1300 555 151 during business hours.

Places are not held without payment, and this is best made by credit card. You can call the number above to book, or do it online. Once payment has been processed, an Enrolment Confirmation and separate Tax Invoice will be emailed to the address on file. If you do not receive either of the above, please call.

It is important to note the Terms & Conditions of your enrolment, and these can be located online, on the Training Schedule, and on your Enrolment Confirmation letter, most notably regarding refunds and transfers.
