official Silicon Block Party on Thursday 8th February 2018,
in conjunction with some of the country’s most prominent digital
The event is officially hitting the streets of the ‘Silicon Block’ in Richmond, Melbourne’s hub of innovation, with attendees from startups, consultancies, co-working spaces and other local tech giants like Red Energy and REA Group.
Supporting small business, startups and the local tech community
MYOB’s Startups Community Manager, Kristen Holden, said he is excited to be a part of Silicon Block Party.
“As a big tech company that supports thousands of start-ups and small businesses, we know the importance of giving back to the community we operate in,” Mr. Holden said.

Sharing world class tech and a free Uber home
Guests can get hands on with the technology shaping the future, including Teslas, VR and a projection mapping experience like never before seen in Melbourne on the iconic Bryant & May building.
Sharing their stories to the 600+ audience is Carolyn Breeze (Head of Braintree for Australia), Jac Phillips (Head of Marketing for VISA Australia) Adam Jacobs (Co-founder and MD of the Iconic) and Marissa Rosenberg (Senior Research Scientist for NASA).
Hosted by IE Digital Founder Rhys Hayes, the panel discussion will kick off at 7.30pm, followed by a block party with Triple J Unearthed artists taking the stage.
“Part of our support for Silicon Block Party is making sure people get home safe and sound – so we have joined forces with Uber to provide free trips home for everyone,” Mr. Holden said.
This event has become known for showcasing experiences from leaders in the digital community this year’s event is no different.
