MYOB partners with Network Ten and Shark Tank – Australia’s most popular show for small businesses
15 May 2018
As part of its ongoing commitment to helping businesses succeed, MYOB today announced it is a major sponsor of Shark Tank on Network Ten, commencing 15th May 2018.
Rare opportunity for businesses to gain funding from experienced investors
In its fourth season, Shark Tank continues its format of having budding business owners and entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to the ‘sharks’, who have invested $21 million of their own money in businesses via the series to date.
Shark Tank star and Boost Juice founder, Janine Allis, is a longtime supporter of MYOB.
MYOB is the recommended software within her business to the hundreds of small businesses that make up Boost Juice. Janine will again sit on the panel of investors alongside RedBalloon founder Naomi Simson, Greencross founder Glen Richards, international businessman Andrew Banks and internet pioneer Steve Baxter.
“We know it’s tough for businesses, particularly in the early years,” MYOB’s Head of Brand, Ben Lemon said.
“Shark Tank provides a unique opportunity for business owners and entrepreneurs to get in front of seasoned investors and gain solid business advice as well as the potential for huge funding.”
Fostering creativity and entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurs and business owners watching at home can gain valuable lessons from Shark Tank. With the ‘sharks’ probing for key information that investors look for in a startup.
“We’re proud to partner with a series that highlights some great ideas that really pay off for founders, many of whom have worked extremely hard for many years,” Mr. Lemon said.
“What we love about Shark Tank is the creativity and passion the entrepreneurs bring every season.”
The 2018 season of Shark Tank premieres on 15th May on Network Ten.
