MYOB welcomes Xero to the world of Amazon Web Services, five years after it began working with the cloud-platform provider.

“Xero’s a bit late to the game here. MYOB has been on AWS since 2011,” says MYOB General Manager Engineering and Experience Adam Ferguson.

“We’ve been innovating on AWS for basically as long as it has been in Australasia. Two of our biggest cloud-based products, Essentials and Advanced, are both there.”

“It’s funny to hear Xero carry on like it’s just discovered the platform.”

In addition, MYOB Advanced selected AWS nearly three years ago and has successfully launched a Cloud ERP solution utilising AWS technology.

MYOB’s relationship with AWS predates the opening of its Sydney Region in late 2012. MYOB has been amongst the most innovative users of AWS to support agility and to utilise analytic and big data services.

Adam Ferguson says MYOB’s experience with AWS has given it significant advantage in both innovation and expertise in cloud-service delivery.

“MYOB is well advanced over the rest of the ANZ market on the structure of our data platform. We’re already leveraging our relationship with AWS to offer better products and services for our customers.”

“There’s no doubt Xero will see benefit from its move. We saw the same thing years ago,” says Mr Ferguson.
