MYOB makes business life easier for Australia Post licensees

01 Oct 2013

The country’s largest business management solutions provider, MYOB is pleased to announce a special offer to empower more than 2,800 Australia Post licensees to better manage their business accounting.

The offer includes a group discount to MYOB’s flagship cloud-enabled accounting software AccountRight Live for life*, and dedicated bookkeeping support from long-time MYOB specialist and 2013 Partner of the Year, 2 Peas.

The offer aims to help Licensed Post Office (LPO) owners to improve their financial reporting and compliance obligations through quality reporting insights and streamlined accounting processes. These include a ‘ready-to-go’ data file with a customised chart of accounts, supplier list, GST codes and more, for every licensee to upload to AccountRight Live.

MYOB General Manager - Business Division James Scollay says, “We’re very pleased to provide Australia Post LPOs tailored accounting and bookkeeping services, and to facilitate a more automated approach to data entry.

“For example, MYOB BankLink’s accurate, reliable and secure bank feeds ensures LPOs’ business bank transactions are automatically fed into AccountRight Live and coded for them. This should reduce time spent on administration, giving them more time to spend with their customers and grow their business.

“Core to MYOB’s own offering is providing customised business advisory and accounting resources, advice and support. With this partnership, we’re helping LPO owners understand how cloud accounting can help drive business efficiencies and improve their understanding of their financial situation and the funds they have to invest back into their business.

“MYOB and 2 Peas have the right expertise, resources and client-centric attitude to support the extensive Australia Post network. This strong collaboration will make business life easier for almost 3,000 local small business operators.”

Australia Post LPOs using AccountRight Live will be able to:

  • Work with their accountant, book keeper and staff on the same accounting data in real-time on the road, in the office or at home.
  • Work offline with their data whenever they choose and seamlessly switch back into online mode when internet connectivity is available.
  • Better meet ATO obligations, by activity such as easily uploading their quarterly BAS statements directly to the ATO through BASLink.
  • Access a range of MYOB resources and information including:
    • Customised training guide prepared by 2 Peas
    • Educational webinars and online videos on key software features, tips and advice
